Neco attended the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair held in Hong Kong from 27-30 October 2011. The fair showcased over 2000 lighting exhibitors from around the globe, and is the best place to see the latest and greatest in LED lighting technology.
LED lighting technology is evolving super fast - what was new 6 months ago, is now old technology. We're happy to report, however, that the Neco MR16 LED lamp still holds its own. In fact, we didn't find anything that offered better performance for the price. So if you're holding off for something better, don't bother!
The stands of the large manufacturers like Philips, Megaman and Osram were impressive as always. Philips had created an entire home decked out with its latest range of Lumiware, Lumigos and Imageo lighting homewares. Let's hope they make it to Australia one day! Some of the Lumiware range not yet shown on the Philips website incorporated induction charging technology. Cool!
Megaman also displayed some great lamps that we'll soon have available on our website, like the Megaman 8W GU10 and Megaman 10W MR16. Both of these lamps are ideal if you are building a new home, or if you want something with better performance than the Neco MR16 LED. Like Philips, Megaman only release a product on market when it works, so you're guaranteed of exceptional quality.
There was also the usual range of whacky lights at the Fair, like giant LED Christmas reindeer, and some of the ugliest LED GLS-replacement lamps you have ever seen. What were they thinking! Neco's GLS LED lamp still remains a great (and attractive) buy! We also weren't to sure about the lamp with built in wi-fi music streaming (but if you would like to buy one, let us know!)
