NABERS Environmental Ratings for Existing Buildings and Tenancies
NABERS (National Australian Built Environment Rating System) Office is a new federal building rating system which has superseded the old AGBR (Australian Greenhouse Building Rating) building emissions rating system. It benchmarks the environmental performance of buildings and offices whilst providing market recognition and competitive advantage to operate in an environmentally efficient way.
Administered by the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change, NABERS ratings provide a reliable, independently verified means for benchmarking and monitoring actual improvements towards sustainability within offices. The current modules include energy, water, waste and indoor environment.
Environmental Management Policies (EMP)
Neco assists companies to create an Environmental Management Policy that clearly states their intentions and principles in relation to their overall environmental impact and performance.
The statement provides a high-level approach to addressing environmental issues and broad framework for action and for setting of the company’s environmental objectives and targets. Neco can write this Environmental Management Policy in collaboration with your company.
Internal Communications Toolkit
Staff are a very important part of the sustainable business development cycle. To date much of the work in assisting companies to become more efficient has been related to senior managers or back office staff only, leaving the real mass implementers of change unaware of the developments taking place. As part of this module, Neco conducts an electronic survey of your staff, asking them what their environmental concerns are in the office space. From this, we can build a profile of your staff’s awareness of environmental issues in the workplace and their willingness to implement change at the individual level.
From here we generate specific staff and stakeholder communication, education and behavioural change workshops which address these concerns and provide the knowledge needed to overcome any barriers. In essence, we get your staff working towards the same environmental improvement outcomes as your company.
This set of workshops and template communication plans help businesses to:
- get started on your sustainability plan
- create strategies that generate positive staff and stakeholder involvement and influence positive staff behaviour change
- communicate this plan to staff and stakeholders
- devise a roadmap for implementation
- provide education and guidance to staff
Solar Power Systems Design
In any commercial environment a solar photovoltaic system can generate onsite energy to supplement the grid supply. There are considerable variations from site to site. Neco can help you define and price a solar photovoltaic system to meet your requirements, conduct a feasibility study and source local installers as required.
Solar Hot Water Supply Integration
Neco will design and install grid interactive or stand-alone commercial solar power stations. We can also assist with the rebate process.
Carbon Offsets
Our Carbon Abatement Services division can assist you to:
